Camera error cannot download pictures to pc

When you download does it delete the pictures automatically or are all your pictures still on it. It sounds as though the internal memory or memory card is full and you will need to delete some pictures or format the memory after you have downloaded them to your PC.

try formatting the stick through the camera itself. else download the software of camera and connect it to pc and see if it has any formatting options...

TRY RESTORING YOUR PC TO A TIME BEFORE THIS STARTED, OR COULD BE YOUR FIREWALLS

It is possible that USB post in camera got broken/ defective.
Easiest way is to take out memory stick from camera and put in to memory card reader and transfer pictures in laptop or PC.

Let me know does your PC recognize camera via USB port ?
Do you see any error when you connect camera with PC?
Is there any file corrupted message comes when you transfer files / pictures to PC?

try to back up pics on the card first and reformat it..

The sd1000 manual says that you will get this error when you have too many pictures on your memory card (aprox 1000). I am not sure how many I had on my 2GB card but it was a lot. I deleted about 50 - 100 pictures and then it started working again and the new pictures downloaded to the computer.

Try updating the Zoombrowser software.

If you have a connection to the camera, go into my computer and get images directly off the camera using scanner and camera wizard, microsoft's default program. This will at least allow you to transfer your images until you can resolve the software problem.

If you have no connection to the camera via your computer, you need to try some other troubleshooting steps to get a connection. I will post those below in the next post.

Have you tried keeping the card in the camera and dowlnading it with the usb cord from the camera?
