I turn on my Acer and it starts to load it gets to the full blue screen and then it just stays there with the hour glass? It nevers goes forward. help

Repair the notebook operating system, Some of the file on system might be missing. Try to send the error code which was written on the blue screen. I think this will make the question simple.

Hourglass Shape

If there is a hour glass shape to the image but convergence is normal, there are 2 possibilities. You either have a pincushion correction problem or if the hour glass seems to be moving, it will be an open filter capacitor in the power supply.

Unless you are electronically inclined troubleshooting this issue will require a factory trained service technician. You can expect to spend $300-$400 to fix this.

Power Up Hour Glass appears an stays on for 3 hours

This should help. When the hourglass symbol stays on, press and hold down the start button for at least 15 seconds. The screen should clear and then you can navigate back to the correct opening screen and select music, videos, photos etc. as you require.

Hourglass frozen on screen!!

Try and plug it in your computer once again and see if the hour glass budges. Then safely remove it by clicking the "Safely Remove Device" Icon on your PC tray (where the clock is on a PC)...

If not, theres probably a software reset hole at the back or sides of your mp4 player, try pushing it with a toothpick or similar pointed thing.

If all else fails, have it replaced...
