SOURCE: Seiko Westminster Chime Clock; Model No. QF0020 (or QF002G)

There is a small potentiometer that the volume know is on, probably replacing the pot will fix the problem. Radio Shack has these.

SOURCE: I have a Seiko Westminster Whittingham Clock,

mcdevito75 here, I would figure the pendulum serves 2 purposes, 1 it acts like a seconds hand on a watch and 2 more important it acts a s a counter weight keeping the clock in Balance. It sounds like the Pendulum mechanism needs cleaning and or adjustment, look for a small watch repair shop in your area, they can advise you on a clock repair shop in your area, or you can always check with the repair service directory right here at fixya, bottom of page, click on repair service directory the watches / clocks.

SOURCE: My seiko musical wall clock

To test your Seiko Melodies in Motion Clock:

1) Check the volume knob in the back of the Seiko clock to make sure the volume has not been adjusted all the way down.
2) Make sure the on / off switch is set to on.
3) If it is extremely dark in the room, the clock will not play, it has a light sensor. Make sure the room is well lit.
4) There are separate batteries usually that operate the clock and the music. Change the batteries paying special attention to any acid / corrosion caused by old batteries. Clean out any acid and it should play. Also, be careful not to touch the positive or negative contacts on the new batteries, as this could inhibit proper connection.

If you have done each step above and it is still not operating, your clock is defective. Contact Seiko Service Center directly at: 800-722-4452 extension 3.

If you have had the clock less than a year, and it was purchased from an authorized dealer, it is under warranty, and any repairs will be free. Otherwise, there may be a charge for the repair.

Set chimes on montreux wall clock

The next time it chimes multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it chimes signaling 15 minutes after. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 3 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set.

Strausbourg Manor Wall Clock chime adjustment

It is normal for the average wall clock. Of course, this can be adjusted, but without watch/clockmaking knowledge it is impossible, because first you need to find out which part of the movement is causing early chiming - and there are plenty of them.
Super fine adjustment can be found only in top of the range clocks. Hundreds of hours of craftsmenship are spent to adjust and fine tune them. That's why they cost a fortune.
If you can not live with that early chiming, you have to bring your clock down to the watch/clock repair shop and ask for help. Be ready to pay quite a money, as this job takes the skill and a lot of time.
