Gears are not moving in the ice machine. Ice bucket in the door is jammed, I cannot get the bucket out of the door. No gears are turning when a cup is held to the dispenser. How do I get the bucket unstuck?

Tammi, you first want to check to make sure the water inlet tube to the icemaker is not frozen shut. Next, get yourself a jumper wire about 4 inches long with the ends stripped exposing the wire on each end. Pull off the ice maker cover, it will pull right off. Now you are looking at the module. On the module, left side, you will see two test points marked V and L. Insert one end of the jumper wire into V and the other marked L. You are now sending 120 volts to the water valve and water should fill the ice maker providing the inlet tube is not frozen over. If it doesn't fill, you either have a bad water valve or module itself. Also check to see if the clips that hold the center gear on the module are not broken. Catriver..post back.

When you push the ice dispensing lever, you should be able to hear the micro-switch clicking. If no click, the switch is faulty. The auger motor which is activated by the lever could also be faulty. This is the motor that causes the auger in the ice bucket to rotate one way for crushed ice and the other way for cubes. The auger could also be jammed. Try switching between crushed and cubes to unjam the auger. Empty the ice bucket and start again.

if you keep your hands out of the little beam slot on the paddel that is located on the left of the freezer and push it in the beam should shoot across to the reciever on the right and the light should stay on constant, that is if you have the switch on the right side turned on.
if it is turned on and the paddel is depressed and the light is still blinking the you need a beam kit part number 4389102

The ice bucket is not frozen in place, it is stuck in the door frame. I have pulled the locking mechanism so hard I almost pulled the door off. Any other suggestions than to defrost? It is not frozen, it is stuck.
you will have to remove the motor on the door from te isie panel
