How can I change the input on my Seiki 43 FHDTV without a remote? I am able to see the different inputs, but I don't know how to select the one I want.

Press the SOURCE button on the main unit or on the remote control to display the Input Source list.
Press {up} or {down} buttons to select your desired input source among: TV/
Component/AV/HDMI1/HDMI2/HDMI3/VGA and then press OK
button to confirm. (The individual ports should be marked on the tv adjacent to port).

Can't keep the HDMI2 setting for watching streaming channels - TV automatically reverts to HDMI1

That's because you have connected another device in HDMI1, the TV detects it as power on, and then change HDMI2 to HDMI1.

Try to power off the device in hdmi1, or you can even try to change HDMI2 to HDMI1 port ;)

My panasonic viera TC-55DX700C has 3 HDMI inputs. But, when I press the input button on my remote control, I can only select HDMI 1 or 2 or a component, not HDMI 3. Why?

Usually when you have more than one HDMI port you always should connect to the 1st and any other component extra to 2 then 3. In your set HDMI1 is best for viewing for 4K or default, HDMI2 is for a stereo that supports ARC and HDMI3 is for extra components. In most TV now the set will not let you connect to an input source unless you physically have a component with a cable in that source port first. I'm figuring that might be the case of your TV set.or else it wants you to use HDMI1 first If you do have a cable in HDMI3 with a component and it's not letting you connect to it, then the other thought could be that the plug has gone bad,

Is HDMI4 correct or HDMI1?

depends on what you plug into on back of tv
is it a dvd player with a hdmi cable ?
or is it a tv antenna cable ?
or is it AV cable ?
The input select on the tv menu must be the same as the port you plugged the cable into

DTV = Digital Tv
AV1 = Av input 1 the yellow plug type cable red and white audio plugs
HDMI1 = HDMI1 port
HDMI2 = HDMI2 port
HDMI3 = HDMI3 port
HDMI4 = HDMI4 port

component in looks very similar to av in so if using av cables
use av1 in port rather than component in .

I cant get any picture on my sony tv when i connect my ps3 upto it, yet get a picture instantly on a cheap 26 inch hd tv. i'm using a hdmi cable on both

Silly question -- but are you sure your Sony TV is on the correct HDMI channel? My 32 inch LCD has HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3. You must make sure you plug the PS3 into the correct HDMI channel and make sure you're tuned into the same one.

What you have done is change the input source. It will toggle through various modes like component, HDMI1, HDMI2, S-video etc., You should take a look behind the tv and see which input you have connected it into(usually HDMI 1 or HDMI2) then keep pressing the input button till it toggles back to that particular input.
