Want to know what flashing "ST" means in the answering machine counter

On radio systems, ST means STEREO signal lost... check antenna.

it means that your phone can not play flash videos in fact there is only a hand full of smart phones that are capable of viewing youtube and only the nokia n900 that i know of comes with adobe flash player which is used for streaming videos on line on all websites... i hope this answered your question

A flashing light is usually indicative of unheard messages on the machine.

The inability of callers to leave messages could mean that the the machine is full.

I'm sorry that I cannot be more absolute with the diagnosis in the absence of a make and model.

This is a "Voice Message Waiting Indicator" and it means that you have a new voice mail from your telephone service provider, or a new message on your answering machine. A lot of people do not even realize they have voice mail from their service provider because all the phone companies bundle services now. If you do not have a message on either you can reset the indicator by following the instructions in the manual

You should be able to download the maual from the manufactureres web site.

I'm not sure what word or expression "St." specifically signifies, but I think it's only there when you initially "start" or "set up" the machine. I've not seen it there again after I began actually using the answerer.

I think what you are saying is actually St. It just means you need to set the time on the answering machine. We got stuck on this too.
