My plasma is just over a year old. I turned on tv and have lines ------------------- across the screen. do you have any idea what could be the problem?
Are the solid horizontal black lines or colored lines. If colored lines there is a posibility that your Y-main, and upper and lower Y-buffers are bad. If black you have a bad plasma panel.

I have had my 42 inch philips for about a 18 months now and now all of a sudden im having colored horizontal lines on the top of the screen.Any ideas on what this is from and how to fix it?
at the beginings the lcd had 8 horizontal black lines.I swich of for a period of time and then only apear 6.....
I have the same problem with my Philips Flat 42" plasma. There are solid black lines in the tv and I was wondering if it is a bad plasma panel if it would be a cheap fix?
Ialso have the colored lines across my screen which will not go away.I would also like to know how costly a repair this will be.
