Hi, Simply attaching the cable isn't always enough. Sometimes you actually have to tell the laptop to display via HDMI or DVI onto your external monitor or it will not output any signal. Try pressing Windows Key+P, this will change your presentation settings in Windows (What screens you get a display on and how they are displayed). Cycle through to either "projector only" or "duplicate screens" and see if you get a display on your TV then.

Sounds like the main board is faulty. No SDA - SCL signals.
