I am installing a DNA keyless entry system on my minivan. I bought it off of EBAY with NO installation instructions. It is pretty cut and dry as far as installing the actuators. My question is, What are the remaining 2 wires(1 brown/1white) for? I'm kind of assuming they are for the horns and lights. If so, do they go to the negative, or positive wires? I've been able to find no instructions on the internet.

After installing the kit just put a bulb on the desired wire and ground. It will show you the signal (if it has one).Smaller bulb better, because it will show you even short signals.Multimeter is better for this if availabile.

Have you tried battery disconnect for about ten mins. If works do not use drivers side door to unlock or you will engage alarm / anti thief system. Use passager side to open and lock. But I'm pretty sure you can get key fobes for keyless entry on eBay along with set up instructions
The way the system was set up?! Here is what it sounds like. If you cannot start the car with the key but, you can start it with the remote starter means two things; the car has a starter inhibit installed and it's active or, the starter wire is cut and isolated from the ignition cylinder and the remote starter is connected to the starter side only of said cut wire. About the keyless entry; Ford vehicle have a battery save mode that, after 10 minutes or so, the GEM module goes to sleep. The installation of a keyless entry system on these vehicles require connections at the unlock, driver's door ajar/latch wire and factory alarm disarm and programmed to double pulse. This will wake up the GEM and unlock the doors.
This is possible with almost any vehicle, especially ones with power locks. I installed keyless entry on someone car before on my own. Took about 3 hours or just take it to a local shop. Its a pretty easy install for anyone who is mechanically inclined.
Any vehicle can have keyless entry installed as long as the car has power door locks.I would recommend the viper aftermarket keyless entry. It works very well.
Seeing you have a 2009 i would highly recomend installing the astrostart in it wich you can get with keyless entry installed in the astro start. And the great thing about astro starts is depending on were you live you can set your temperature for hot or cold in the interiour so if you live in California you can turn your ac on before you even get in the car or if your like me and live in north dakota you can turn your heater on. But after installing just the Keyless entery systems i have had customers come back to me and decided that they whant astro start. and if you do go with the automatic car starter i highly Recomend AstroStart Brand they simply are the best out there. hope this kinda answers your question
Please leave rating on my solution
Thank you
The esiest way will be to ad an aftermarket central lock motor to your cars drivers door you can buy these seperatly at most alarm shops for a few dollars ,the idea is that you can hook up your ebay kit directly to this motor and this motor will drive the cars central locking. The aftermarket motor hooks up to the lock button rod in your drivers door. You will see this rod moving when you remove the trim and lock and unlock yhe door via the up/down button/knob.
