Sometimes removing CMOS battery of laptop overnight will reset bios parameters.if this does not work you have two other options.Google hirens boot disc 15.1 on another computer and either make a bootable USB. Stick or burn to cd.start laptop in get into bios to change the boot sequence to either cd or USB.let the hirens boot cd run.it installs a small version on windows Xp on the ram and let's you then access the hdd to save all the files and pictures on to other media.it also has many tools including software to read all stored passwords on hdd and bios but I don't recommend this until you have retrieved all you want to save.hope this helps please vote?thankyou.
Ask your daughter. She set that password, and she needs to enter the password.
Otherwise, find the original sales-receipt, to prove that you (and not a thief) has possession of the laptop, and telephone ACER, and ask for help in bypassing the password.
