Does say a dvd player give sound when connected to the same input? If you have determined that the source is good and the speakers are turned on in the menu then I would replace the main board.

Hi. Today I bought a 3 foot audio y-cable and an RCA (Phono) Female to RCA (Phoneo) Female cable so that I could hook up these two speakers that I have that belong to a predisian sound system (boom box)...

All you need to do is get a USB based sound adapter 16/32BIT MINIMUM to plug your speakers straight into your laptop with better sound. Many laptops will have limited sound OUTPUT which places large limitations on pushing sound through your nice speakers. You already know the problem is not the speakers or new cables, therefore you know that problem has been isolated to your laptop. You may also check the volume settings in the laptop to ensure your running the highest possible BIT or volume enhacement software. Let me know if this does the trick for you.

Have no sound from VCR, cable hooked up properly, picture is great. TV is brand new.

Connect RCA cables yellow, white and red from VCR to TV. White and red are sound. Select TV input where VCR cables are connected using TV remote. Try different tapes. Turn up volume on TV.

I have a Quasar TV that has worked perfectly fine until the other day. Picture is fine, but no sound. The speaker volume is on.

Check all your channels. If you are getting sound on some channels but not others it is a good possibility that your SAP setting is turned on. Simply go into your audio menu and disable the SAP. Not sure about your model tv but some Tv sets had a switch on the back to disable the speakers and some have a setting in the menu to disable the speakers. If you have a digital cable box hooked to the tv it is possible the cable box volume is turned all the way down which will override your tv volume. Check these options and hopefully one of them works for you.

Do i need a driver for these speakers to work? because i have no sound coming from them right right now. i just hooked them up today because my other speakers weren't working. i just installed a sound...

Hi!

It is clear in your statement that your speaker is not working anymore. Consider opening it and then check the wiring inside the speaker if it has lost connection and solder it.

Otherwise buy a new one this will get raid of the problem completely.

Hope it helps..

Have a nice day!

Have hooked up HP Pavivillion PC with HDMI cable; get no audio, picture is fine. How do I get the audio to the TV??The TV is a new Insignia NS-L37Q-10A.

Plug in the HDMI to the TV and set the TV to HDMI input. Go to the Vista Contol panel on the PC, to Hardware & Sounds, then Sound.

The control panel will show the computer speakers as the default hardware. Highlight the HDMI icon, click the Default button! That's it: obvious when I realized "default" was not "return to default settings", but setting the default device. Duh... always simple once you see it.

Mitsubishi tv volume on tv not working

If the TV has stereo sound, there may be a speaker switch for internal/external speakers on the rear of the TV that may have gotten bumped by something. (kids, pets, something fell behind?) If no switch, the sound driver chip or speaker may be failed. If the speaker is the culprit, headphones would still work if there is a jack for headphones. Might be a good time to consider a new HDTV
