When I plug the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 into my computer, the computer does not recognize the device and therefore the audio of the computer does not channel to the headset. Do I need special software to install the headset? What do I do?
With the infamous Vista, try:
Start --> Control panel --> Hardware and sound --> Sound --> Audio devices admin [I have a Spanish OS, I hope it is the same in the English version], then assign as default device the headset.
With Skype and other sw, you have to specifically pick the lx-3000 as the device that will be used as audio device (and the same has to be done to use the mic).
Pretty cumbersome....
I solved the problem by going to Control Panel- Hardware/Sound-Manage Audio Devices and setting the headphones as default.
I have the same problem but cant find the awnswer could somone please help me out??
