CASSETTE STUCK IN VCR WONT EJECT I TURN VCR ON IT STAYS

VHS cassette players usually have a switch or switches that start the playback or "tape in" features. When the tape is placed in the carriage, it activates these switches . The little motors start to run and pull the cassette cartridge in.
The "tape in" light comes on. The tape pushes in, then down.. and the switch is on.
In your case it seems that the cassette cartridge may , as you said (I just noticed ) be stuck in the down position. Which means that you probably need a new carriage or carriage basket as it is sometimes called. I fixed VCRs for several years before they became obsolete with the digital DVD players.

You can do this yourself if you are handy with a few tools you will need to disassemble and remove the old carriage and install the new one.
But if you are not a handyman, do not even try it. You must not force anything to remove it . You could end up breaking the frail plastic parts inside.
You can buy a carriage or VCR parts online for almost any kind of tape player nowadays.

Before you install anything the entire rubber items that run the tape and belts that run the motors must be cleaned thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and swabs or cotton balls. The heads must be cleaned using a chamois cloth or a piece of it . Using cotton to clean the heads is not recommended because they could clog up the heads which are tiny.
They are located on the very shiny spinning drum that you see immediately when you open up the cassette. Or in your case the entire TV chassis.

I recommend you send it for repairs and not take chances on doing more damage to it. But it is your choice. If you do , be sure to do everything without power until you are finished.

it can be done using common sense and being careful. But that is entirely up to you. Bottom line is you need a new carriage and a total cleaning of the unit.

Turn on the machine. use your figure push on the cassette, when you feel the cassette can't go any farther (don't jam it),and hold it there. press the eject button, you may have to try this couple of times in order for the cassette to come out.
the cassette deck need to have the drive belt change.
