Replace needle on old Admiral turntable

My mother has an Admiral console stereo with an am/fm radio and an 8 track player that was manufactured in 1975. While moving it, the needle fell out and we can't figure out how to get it back in. There appears to be 3 pieces: the double sided needle, a red rubber part that holds the needle and a gold metal piece that we have no idea what it is for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Vintage Magnovox Console Stereo with AM/FM, turntable, and 8 track player. Model # PF6726. Left speaker quieter than right in Phono mode. Fix?

You need to determine if the cartridge is playing up. You can do this by swapping the connections around at the back of the cartridge. If the weak sound goes to the other channel replace the cartridge. If it doesn't then the pre-amplifier for the cartridge in side the unit is faulty. Assuming you have a magnetic cartridge fitted.

Can my turntable be adjusted

Jody, the arm the needle is on, usually adjustable with a dial on the end that can lighten, or put more weight on needle to help it track better on records. Other then that, the belts normally are changed to address slow speed issues. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a Zenih Allego table type stereo with 8 track, radio & turntable, but it has NO cartridge at all - just wires from the needle arm. It's supposed to play 78s, how can I find out which cartridge...

You will need a very old type of cartridge called CERAMIC CARTRIDGE or CRYSTAL CARTRIDGE. It has been discontinued. Today's Hi-Fi use magnetic cartridge. Check out this link below

Turntable will not turn (spin)

It would appear this is a belt drive turntable - here's a link to a site where you can order a replacement, although you may be able to find a cheaper one.
