Have a look inside and see what the power amp consists of. You will find it located on a big heat sink. If you see a big IC with lots of legs it could be that has failed. Also look around for fuses.

No optical light from pioneer vsx516

Hi,

Please double check that you've adjust the volume on the speaker and test sound with multiple sources (ie CDs, DVDs etc) to ensure that the volume/sound issue is cause by the speaker and not the item that it's attempting to play.

You can also check for any disconnected wires going from or to the speaker. Thank you.

I just set up my water dancing speakers... one of them doesn't emit any sound. Lights and water work...just no sound. Is this normal?

no it is not normal. Did you plug in the 3.5 mm plug into the headphone or speaker out port ? The Usb cable just powers the speakers. Check computer has both left and right speakers volume set correctly . Check the speaker icon right click on it . Check
Mixer and volume control .

Intel core 2 duo e8400

Obviously you need to check the cables and the speakers. If that is all good make sure the volume is up on both the speakers and the OS. Next make sure you have the sound drivers installed for your computer.

Speakers have no sound

Please check the below mentioned things :
Verify the AC power cord is plugged into the wall outlet. Turn the VOLUME knob on the right speaker until you hear a click sound. An LED will light next to the knob when the power is ON. Turn the VOLUME knob clockwise to raise the volume. Check volume level on the computer sound card or alternate audio source device, and set at mid-level. Check plug connections on the audio source. Make sure the signal cables are inserted firmly into the correct jacks. Make sure the 3.5mm stereo cable is connected and fully inserted into the "line-out," "audio-out," or the headphone jack of the audio source. Test the speakers on another audio device. Remove the 3.5mm stereo cable from the audio source device and connect it to "line-out," "audio-out," or the headphone jack of another audio source.
And if in in case u r unable to get it working ..
Replace the speakers ..

How can i get sound in my pc.. i have lost the sound or volume

Check you have not accidently muted the sound on the desktop icon ( speaker icon)
Check the (green?) line connector is plugged into the correct port on the sound card or chip
Check that the audio driver appears in the sounds tab in the control panel (double click sound icon)

If the driver is missing, re-install it

Also while in there, check the tabs for the volumr mixer etc and see volume is set at max for line out

If those steps fail, check the speakers are getting power and the indicator light is on

Finally, test the soundcard with another speaker, or use headphones if no speakers available

Have external gateway speakers

First make sure your sound cards are working properly. 1) Check the master volume of your PC. Go to start menu, control panel, sounds speech and audio devices, sounds and audio devices - i) In volume tab click the speaker volume and check whether all the left, right, etc.. volumes are in medium or high. ii) In audio tab click the volume tab of sound playback and make sure that the master volume is not in mute and all the volumes are either in medium level or at 100%. After making these changes try playing any music. Even if the problem persists go and get your sound card checked in an authorised service centre.

Thanks & Regards,
Shiva

Labtec LCS-2424 speakers: left speaker stopped working

I have the same problem sir, only the speaker with volume
control works. Earlier I used to twist the volume control this
way and that way to get the sound from the other speaker also.
Now the same technique doesn't work anymore.

Volume issue

Very loud it never gonna be. It's a tv with very small speakers, but I have a lot of customers who complain about that and I checked first the signal source. Sometimes the sattelite receiver or cable box give a sound not so good. The best way to check it is to plug something (an antenna or just a 2 inch wire) in the coaxial plug to see if on the tuner is the same sound. I bet is gonna be stronger.
