Can't loate bool;et for Mitsubishi HD 1080 Series Medallion

Can't locate the booklet to turn off the SAP, some how it got turned on.
This is a Mitisubishi, 55 inch High Def TV.

It is usually in the Audio settings,sometimes by the CC settings, if you go to the TV and enter th menu from the set, go thru one at a time until you find the spot to turn it off, it is under options or Menu on the remote also, there maybe an SAP Option on the remote itself, but you may have to press another key first like a "Function: Key.

This just recently happened to my Samsung DLP. It's a pretty easy fix. You need to replace the lamp. Check your manual for the particulars of that model.

Are you sure its the right remote? Verify TV mode on remote if equiped with mode switch. Drain the remote by removing batteries.

MITSUBISHI HD 1080 series
most likely the convergence Ics have failed. Check F9a04 and F9A05 pico fuses if they are blown you will need to replace them and the convergence Ics.They are located on the center board they are green and look like resistors without the color band. see the photoa193b32.jpg82b89b8.jpg

SAP on Mitsubishi Medallion 65" 1080
Set the tv to stero setting this should turn sap off. This can be changed by the remote or in the enu under audio settings. MONO<STEREO<SAP are some of the choices select stereo.
