Jenn Air double oven relay board makes loud buzzing sound

I have a Jenn Air double oven model #ww27110w. It is 10 years old. The relay board started making a very, very loud buzzing sound, so I ordered a new one and replaced it. The new one does the same. I can't get it to stop so I've unplugged it. Can you tell me how to solve the problem? Thanks.

Sir - Unplugging it makes the buzzing stop but it also turns all of the lights out on the control panel (clock, temperature, etc) so we cannot use the oven. Please provide a solution. Thank you.

The new one does the same. I can't get it to stop so I've unplugged it. I've left it unplugged for days and plugged it back in and it still makes the loud buzzing sound. There is no error message shown either. Can you tell me how to solve the problem? Thanks.

It sounds like a control problem to me, I would have the ERC (main control) replaced.as this relay is controlled by the Erc(main board) so if the board itself is getting short it will not control the relay and the noise comes up from the relay board.
keep updated.thanks.

It seems there is a electrical defect, a malfunction, you can try to unplug it for 24 hours and see if that will make a difference if not there is not much you can do.

hi i mean try to unplug it for 24 hours and then try to turn it on again.

  • Anonymous Apr 04, 2009

if it still does not work then there is a mechanical malfunction, you will have to show it to a mechanic.

Jenn-Air Maytag double wall oven makes loud buzzing noise

There is a cooling fan for upper and lower oven they run at the same time no matter which oven in use it is fed from the oven manager no way to trouble shoot without pulling oven out some models use same fan for both so you could have a blower on hand remove back panels to access fans take a lead off fan to determine which one noisey

Jenn Air oven keeps beeping F2 and the upper oven broiler won't shut off. We do not have a manual. Please help!!! [email protected] (925) 672-1279

Sounds like a welded relay on the control board. You can replace the board or have the board repaired for much less expense.

More then likely your electronic clock control board is going bad. After turning the power off, you can also try cleaning the connectors on the clock board and make sure the connectors are tight.

F2 code on Jenn air double oven

One website said its a relay board problem. Years ago I replaced the entire electronic board and did it myself and I am not overly good at such stuff, so it can be done if you find the correct part. I am having that problem and am searching for a relay board or whatever it is.

Good Morning!
What youre experiencing could be a result of a faulty oven temperature sensor, a faulty oven control board or relay board. Youre more than welcome to send both the main control board and relay board for evaluation. Fixyourboard will test and repair both as needed for less expensive than buying new, and include a two year warranty.

Jenn-Air Wall Oven Model #WW30430P F5 Fault Code

I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)

Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode
1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or,
2. Intermittent contact on power relay board"
This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?

Jenn Air wall oven-Broiler element comes on and will not turn off....

Boone, by the sound of your post it sounds like the power relay board could be bad. If you had a stuck or shorted keypad, you should be getting a different code. The F2 code means an overheated condition. If it's a double oven it could mean a secondary board failure. The way to go on this would be to ohm out the temp sensor first. Should read about 1100 ohms at room temp. Another way to check it is to swap the bake and broil wires on the power relay board. They will be marked BA and BR. Fire the oven up again and if the bake element comes on then you know that the broil relay is stuck or shorted. Without being there to do the tests, I believe that the problem lies in the power relay board. The part number for the board is 71003431. Priced around 116.00. Jenn-Air usually has a 5 year warranty on these parts. Hope this points you in the right direction. Catriver..post back
