It sounds that the firmware upgrade is not successful or wrong version firmware have been upgrades. It will best to contact any service technician. Do not try to upgrade it further. It might make the set irrepairable.
I think you can try upgrading the firmware on your router,
Connect the computer to the router. Download the latest firmware. Open the setup page of the router and upgrade the firmware. After upgrading the firmware, reset the router and reconfigure it manually.

The newest firmware version is actually v 2.01. The file should be called DI634M_firmware_201.bin and is engineered for North American products only. Does that apply to you? You can get the file here. Important! - Make sure that you use only hard-wired network connections for upgrading. Do NOT upgrade firmware on any router over a wireless connection. This may be caused due to damaged firmware but can be recovered by firmware upgrade. Click on the link given below to download the Firmware folder on your computer. When done, refer to file "procedure.doc", a Word file included in the Firmware folder, and follow the procedure to upgrade the Firmware of MP3 player. Are you able to login to the router? If you can reset the router to factory defaults..If you can't login to the router...Is there an external reset button on the router you could try to reset. with a paperclip? Otherwise, I had this happen on a linksys router/switch. New router time. You should just return it where you purchased the product. There was already something seemingly going wrong if it was rebooting. 3 weeks? just return it. don't even mention the firmware update.

The downloaded .exe needs to be extracted by double clicking on it.
When performing the firmware update use the extracted files that were obtained from the "exe" file.
e.g You will obtain a "bin" or "dlf" type of file which is the firmware required for your upgrade.
