See if those stripes are on your fuser... the yellow rollers in the back... if so the rollers are shot... if not your drum is shot...

I am getting a black stripe down the left hand side of all documents that print - I have a FS-2000D Kyocera Printer & have changed the waste toner box, removed the toner (and cleaned the head) but cant...

The problem is in the fuser roller.

Try to open it and see if there are any damage in the red-orange teflon roller.

The other problem can be in the trasform roller.

It's under the drum. I will write down what can you du, but first open the rear unit at the back and inform me about how it looks like.

Open with pulling gray handle. There is a green square mark in the left. Grab it and pull. Now youz will see two rollers. Please tell me everithing about the upper and the lower roller. Rotate it by the gears (360degrees), and see every side.

By Kyocera Mita FS-1020D printer has had it cartridge changed and his just printing a grey smear on the paper and no readable information

is the cartridge a genuine Kyocera cartridge? I had similar problems on some models with the cheaper generic products. had to strip and clean the whole process unit to rectify the problem.

Kyocera printing very slow

Has it always been slow, or is that a recent development? At its fastest, the FS-2000 only prints 31 pages per minute, and that's for regular single-sided 8.5" x 11" with no special requirements. Anything else will (thick paper, longer paper, duplexing, etc.) will slow the print speed down.

One thing you can try to speed up the print speed is to change your spool options in the print driver. Go into the print driver (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes, right click on the FS-2000 and select Properties) and find where the spool options are located. Try selecting different spool options (such as waiting to send the job until all the pages have spooled, or sending it page by page) to see if any of them affect printing speed.

There are other options in the print driver's properties which could affect printing speed as well. Look around the different tabs and try changing some of the options to see if they make any difference.

You can also go to Kyocera.com and download and install the newest version of the print driver, which might speed up processing as well.

Hope that helps!

CLEANING A KYOCERA FS-2000D

Follow the page http://www.fixya.com/support/t1336338-kyocera_fs2000_thin_black_vertical_line

Basically, you remove the cartridge and developer all at once, then remove the waste toner bottle, then push the grey tab in to release the drum cartridge (be very, very careful in removing and putting back in. Any scratches on the drum and you will enjoy black spots permanently on printouts).

On the right side of the grey charger section is a tab you can use to release it. Do this, then put the drum away in a light tight back to prevent damage to it.

The reason why this Kyocera printer doesn't have the primary charger wire cleaner is because it did away with it. It now charges via a black fuzzy looking roller on top which is like the secondary corona charger wire, which then applies it to a roller, which then applies it to the drum. I think this is nice since it should prevent printer quality problems better since there is nowhere for oxidation to really collect. But, OTOH, it does happen anyhow.

I cleaned mine off and the streaks disappeared. I used a non amonia based cleaner to help, since I didn't find any dust on it to begin with. Whatever you choose, do not get your fingers on it, or it will put oil onto the rollers and that will make it worse.

Worked for me.

Kyocera FS-2000D is printing a grey stripe down the side of page

In this case what i would request u to do is.......
Take out both the catridges from the Printer.........
Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry...........
Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out.......
Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds......
Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel..........
U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........
Now do the same procedure again..........
Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge.................
Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel..........
Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer...........
Good Luck
