Benq computer monitor shuts down after standby in energy saving..
Hello, i have a benq computer monitor, model Q9W5. after the monitors is in STBY fase, screen is dark, when I reuse the computer, instead of "coming up" to normal display, it shuts itself down. Can I program something through the "menu" button of benq on the monitor to overcome the problem..?
thank you in advance,

Go to CMOS setting on your computer motherboard and check energy saving settings. Also check if your PC, motherboard, and OS are compatible with EnergyStar Power savings.
this only happens when computer is on standby or there is no activity by a human like movement of mouse. it is a built-in energy saving formula on all such monitors
that shouldn't have messed up your monitor at all. It sound slike it needs to be reset. Unplug the monitor for at least 5 minutes. Then plug it in and power it back on.It may be stuck in a standby mode.
If the Display shuts down after you see a BenQ logo at startup but power LED remains on,the problem is with the Invertor board.Transistors 2SC5707 are known to be defective with other related components. You can try replacing if u are technically able and willing.

Hello
I have had this problem twice once at my school and once with my BenQ FP71G Monitor. At my school the monitor ( HP ) just stopped working and smelt like burnt popcorn.(though is think this is due to some kids chucking a soccer(football) ball at it! With my BenQ it has the same problem though i nownthink it is because of the monitor has been on for excessive hours ( 3-4 ) and just shut down because of overheating. I will see in a couple of hours if it works !
