I have had problems occasionally with connecting a second monitor, too. Hook up both monitors. In the Windows control panel, look up display (or right click on your desktop and select display). Is the second monitor shown? If not, click "detect" and see if it shows up. I have had a couple times where I clicked on the monitor icon in "display" and then clicked "enable this monitor" and it started working. If not, then try switching the cords so your working monitor is the second one. try again and see if it show up. If not, the problem is probably with the video card or video card driver. tried with unplugged and re plugged doesn't resume in normal ?.ok check loose connection in the power adapter.if still doesn't resolved the problem, at this time you will need to check the power supply if it is working.you can use a digital tester or an analog to make a voltage checking.
