Check to see that the program is still installed that manages that feature:

"C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Appoint.exe"

If it still exists, you need to run that EXE to get scrolling back. To make sure this happens automatically at start-up, add a shortcut to the "StartUp" menu of Programs\All Users, or run msconfig and ensure it is enabled in the Startup section.

If it does not exist, you need to reinstall dual-pointing device (or whatever touchpad you have) from the Toshiba website, for your specific PC.

The software may stopped working or the hardware itself got damaged try and reinstall the software of your touchpad incase it doesnt work try and contact the nearest pc shop

IF you have restarted the pc , try to disable/enable the touchpad by clicking start > right click my computer and then click properties > then click hardware and then click device manager. Then under mice and pointing devices right click the device and click disable. Then enable it again. If it did not work, call Benq for further assistance..

Please try pressing the FN+F7 key to see if this will enable it

if not you could go to device manger
scroll down to mice and other pointing devices
click or double click the touchpad to get into the properties
then go to the driver tab at the top
un install the driver
restart the laptop
and hopefully windows will find new hardward
and re install the touchpad correctly

mate, mine doesn't work too and i'm a advance user, installed new driver from acer.com, reformat and put Window 7 ultimate in and still doesn't work...
in the rare chance its work and most of the time it's not.
please post the answer if you can find any thing

1. Download the latest drivers for the scrollpad from Gateway website and update the driver on your laptop. If it does not help,
2. The scrollpad or the connection is defective. Bring it to a technician.

Go to the Classic view of Control Panel...click on Mouse...click on Device Settings...click on the Settings button..it will bring up a new window about Synaptics....click on Virtual Scrolling. Un-click the horizontal and vertical scrolling button and click Apply down at the bottom and it is disabled. YAY!

dude firstcheck if u installed ur sound drivers if so then u uninstall it and reinstall it
