I have had bellsouth for a year & always used outlook. a week ago, my incoming mail has just stopped. i can still access it over the web. all the settings in outlook are correct have passed & there are no errors. all the testing is showing that it is working properly.

What is the anti virus program you have? Try to disable it and check.
Restart the computer in safe mode with NW :
Turn on the computer and start tapping the F8 key repeatedly until u get advanced boot options -> select safe mode with NW and loging to the user account.
Check if you are able to recieve e-mails?
Login to :
https://webauth.att.net/auth/webmail/log...
and check if there are new e-mails.
If NO, then contact bellsouth ( Service provider)
If YES, then
1. Restart your computer.
When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows Advanced Boot Options.
Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode with networking option you want.
Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows Safe Mode.When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows will enter Safe mode.
Try send/receive in Outlook express and let me what happens??
4. when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.

bellsouth and Outlook express have been working well for several years, but suddenly yesterday I stopped receiving emails. I can send but cant receive. can anyone solve this for me. I have checked all settings and check out.
