You have a switch to turn it on or off. If you hold the 'on' switch for about 20 seconds, this will force the Sansa to turn off. It is like rebooting a computer.
Then, turn it on again, and hopefully your player will be back to normal.
Slide the power switch up (toward the display, away from the headphone jack). The switch has three positions: the lower locks it, the center is the usual, and the upper, when you hold it there for a second or two turns it on and when you hold it there for fifteen seconds resets the unit.
There's a slide switch on the lower end of the left side. Slide it up toward the top of the unit to cover up the orange, and that should unlock the Sansa.
slide the switch in the on position and hold for 20 seconds , release and then flick the switch to on position and it should start.
This will happen anytime the battery runs down.
You may need to try and reset the player, do this ---1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power switch. 3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.
