Call forwarding only rings once

I forwarded my phone to my blackberry, but it only rings once and then reverts to voicemail. Can I make it ring for longer?

You will have to have the admin lengthen the voicemail answer time, i would add another 15-20 seconds.....but this will make all calls ring your phone longer before going to vociemail

How do I increase ring time before phone transfers to voicemail

Which phone are you using - please be specific.

Generally Go To Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings / Call Forwarding Settings > Voice Calls > Change the always forward Settings, here it will ask you for Number of Rings Before Forwarding. Change that as per your convenience.

Voicemail is not picking up for incoming calls...

Sounds like you need to set the call forward no answer to the VM pilot DN for the set with the new mailbox.

Phone only rings twice then goes to voicemail. How do I change settings to allow longer before going to voicemail?

Hello,
You need to contact your carrier, ask customer service if they will change the ring time. The number of rings before vaoicemail is not controlled by the phone it is set at the cell phone switching office so they have to do it. Some carriers will some won't.

Good luck,

I have the same problem. Any ideas??

Hi, the setting is controlled by your mobile service provider. You will need to ring them and get them to extend the time which it will ring before going to your voicemail. Another option is to totally disable the voicemail function. On your blackberry, enter the phone screen, then press the blackberry logo button to open the menu then select options. Once in the options, select the call forwarding option. Change all settings to "do not forward". Please rate this solution if it helps. Thanks

Number of rings

Sounds like you have either send all calls (SAC) enabled or your station is call forwarded to voicemail.

Disabling send all calls or call forward (as applicable) will solve the problem.
