Does it have a date time stamp for the pictures

Here are pages 63 to 65 of the F480 manual, which describe how to do it when printing with a DPOF-compatible printer:-
If you prefer you could get an EXIF reader to reveal and check the date when each picture was taken, and use a graphics editor to add text for the date on each image, in whatever size, colour, or position you would like. The date would then show on any prints modified in this way, however they were printed.

The camera will not deface your pictures by scrawling a set of digits across it. You can have the date appear when you print the pictures. Please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print.
If you're printing from the camera using a PictBridge-compatible printer, you can set it to print the date by selecting PRINT ORDER (DPOF) from the Playback menu and then selecting "WITH DATE". It's detailed in the "Printing Pictures via USB" section of the manual (page 43 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

The date and time are stored with every image. Any photo editing program should be able to show you that data (and a LOT more); look for something like "image info" or "EXIF data". If you want the data printed with the picture, refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and the printer, you may be able to display the date and time on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

The camera stores the date with each file, but it will not deface your pictures by scribbling a string of numbers across them. Please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
