I installed a similar shower head, it was not adjusted properly from the box, I had to pull the handle off and readjust the flow of hot and cold through the head depending on the position of the handle, the manufacturer's hot line number can assist u with this adjustment, that is who I called and they talked me through it.

On some models there is a button you need to press in order to get the hottest water to come out, have a look, try pressing the adjuster, or pulling it a little, etc.

Hi..this problem is due to the following reason. It happens
all the time. The rubber-like washer that seals the hot water
has gotten stuck to the valve seat or something similar.
You need to turn off the hot water supply and unscrew the
hot water faucet stem. You'll probably find the stem has
unscrewed from the valve seat.Or the washer is stuck.
It needs the obvious TLC or R&R.Take the cruddy parts
to the hardware store. They usually have a whole wall of
similar looking valves and washers.
check this out..
thank u..

Hi!

Try using hot limit stop. Did you turn the hot water shutoff back on?

Also check valve located directly under the cartridge. First, shut the water off at the stops in the cabinet. Now open up the faucet, and remove the handle set screw and work on down to the Cartridge.Pull it out and check and clean the inlet ports. Now turn the water back on for a few seconds to flush out the supplies and the open valve body and check for the hot water flow now.

If not then click on back with the details. If everything looks OK then reassemble and test.

Please ask for further clarification and rate the solution as 'Fixya' if found useful.

Thanks
Rylee

by rotating the Lever handle clockwise the water temp. will increase + to hot flow.

    Let me know.

  • Anonymous Feb 26, 2009

    here's HOW:

    adjusting from hot - cold

Replaced cartridge now only have hot water

You likely took out the anti-scald ring out when you took it apart and then put it in in a different spot preventing the handle from turning far enough. You may also have the cartridge or handle upsidedown.

I installed a single lever b114900 fauset i turn the water on and the water come out of shower head and fauset

I woke up to this problem this morning and was told by delta it could either be the cartridge or the check valves assembly. For me it was the check valves. The plastic developed a small crack. Very simple process to replace the parts.

Getting hot water when shower valve is first opened.

If I understand correctly, you have single handled shower faucet.
Normally there is a wait for hot water to arrive at faucet.
But now hot water is already at shower faucet.

Single handled faucets have a mixing area inside valve where hot and cold come together before going into sink.
This mixing valve can have crossover where the hot and cold can pass through to each other even when faucet handle is off. When single handle faucets get old, this can happen.
How it happens:
For example another faucet is turned on inside house, and pressure differential between hot and cold causes hot water at shower handle to pass through mixing area and into cold water line.
So if another faucet has been run, then that lets hot flow to faulty single handled shower faucet.
To confirm this is the problem: turn on other faucet and put ear against shower faucet to listen for moving water.
This condition may also signal there is a water leak.
The problem is not harmful, but will draw cold water into water heater each time, and is energy wasteful.
Replace faucet or have plumber repair problem.

My 3 handle bathtub fauset [price pfisher] cycles hot and cold

You will need to either replace center "shower diverter"assembly or a quicker fix would be to remove old tub water fill spout and replace with a "pull up diverter knob" type water spout. Cost about 10 dollars Hdepot Pull Knob to divert water to shower when showering.

Price Pfister ashfield collection shower single lever.

This sounds like a proper with your water heater. If you just installed this new shower head. First take it off and make sure that the hot water valve is opening fully if that checks out then go to the water heater and make sure the pipes check out ok and also that the heater is ok. Try putting a water heater blanket on it. Also try getting some pipe cover and cover the hot water line so on really cold days or not you will have warmer water

MOEN POSI-TEMP GOES FROM HOT TO COOL AFTER 30 SECONDS OR SO

Wow A Mystery Faucet!!! SOUNDS LIKE THE WATER LINES FEEDING THE FAUCET MAY BE SWITCHED. CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE COLD FEED GOES TO THE COLD SIDE AND THE SAME FOR THE HOT. SOMETIMES MISTAKES ARE MADE WHEN INSTALLING THE FAUCET. MAKE SURE THEY ARE CONNECTED THE SAME AS THE 2 THAT ARE WORKING. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND PATIENCE, YOU CAN TAKE A WORKING FAUCET AND INSTALL IT IN PLACE OF THE (mystery faucet) AND SEE IF YOU HAVE THE SAME RESULTS. IF YOU GET HOT WATER IN THE TEMPORARY FAUCET, THEN YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE FAUCET. THESE ARE A FEW TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS I HOPE THAT MAY HELP YOU.....JOE
