WE HAVE JUST INSTALLED A PFISTER SHOWER FAUCET AND WE CANNOT GET WATER HOT ENOUGH. THERE APPEARS TO BE A SAFETY VALVE SOMEWHERE. aLL OTHER FAUCETS IN OUR HOUSE RUN VERY HOT WATER.
hOW CAN WE ADJUST THIS FAUCET?
How much pressure do you have?
I installed a similar shower head, it was not adjusted properly from the box, I had to pull the handle off and readjust the flow of hot and cold through the head depending on the position of the handle, the manufacturer's hot line number can assist u with this adjustment, that is who I called and they talked me through it.
Hi there
there is usually a vavle inline on the hot water feed have a look at the feed to the actuall faucet and its usually near the top

Hi,
It is a two hadled faucet then water flow should be proper and and lever could be rotated as well rotate it towards the hot and u will be getting hot water hot and cool ponts willl be there.
On some models there is a button you need to press in order to get the hottest water to come out, have a look, try pressing the adjuster, or pulling it a little, etc.
Hi..this problem is due to the following reason. It happens
all the time. The rubber-like washer that seals the hot water
has gotten stuck to the valve seat or something similar.
You need to turn off the hot water supply and unscrew the
hot water faucet stem. You'll probably find the stem has
unscrewed from the valve seat.Or the washer is stuck.
It needs the obvious TLC or R&R.Take the cruddy parts
to the hardware store. They usually have a whole wall of
similar looking valves and washers.
check this out..
thank u..
Hi!
Try using hot limit stop. Did you turn the hot water shutoff back on?
Also check valve located directly under the cartridge. First, shut the water off at the stops in the cabinet. Now open up the faucet, and remove the handle set screw and work on down to the Cartridge.Pull it out and check and clean the inlet ports. Now turn the water back on for a few seconds to flush out the supplies and the open valve body and check for the hot water flow now.
If not then click on back with the details. If everything looks OK then reassemble and test.
Please ask for further clarification and rate the solution as 'Fixya' if found useful.
Thanks
Rylee
There will be pressure balancing valve that needs both cold and hot water pressure to operated .
Are you getting cold water ?
Hi there,
may you please give me the detail of the model of the unit.?
tnx
by rotating the Lever handle counter-clockwise the water temp. will decrease - to cold.
by rotating the Lever handle clockwise the water temp. will increase + to hot flow.
Let me know.
here's HOW:
adjusting from hot - cold
by lifting the valve on up direction this will allow water to flow.
the illustrations i posted was a Pfister Faucet 42YP - Series.
kindly post back again to know the status of your concerns.

The problem is with the faucet itself, as all other faucets run very hot water.
How do we adjust the safety guard on the shower faucet to run hotter water. It is a Pfister Faucet
do you have to turn the temp. adjustment valve?
yes we agetting cold water, just the hot water is not hot enough
This is a brand new shower faucet. How do you reset the preset factory temperature level for hot water?
This is a single handle faucet new from the store. We just need to know how to adjust pre-set the hot water level higher
There appears to be adequate pressure, just the water is not hot enought
what is the color of the hot water temp. valve
red or black?
