Zanussi oven zbf 360 + bulb blows repeatedly

The bulb has blown on my Zanussi ZBF 360 Single oven. I have replaced the bulb a couple of times, but it blows each time I reconnect power to the appliance (i.e. flip the main trip switch). I've been using a 25w E14 as specified in the Zanussi manual. Each time I try, the bulb blows and trips the circuit breaker. Note: I found that the glass dome of some bulbs is slightly too long, thus preventing the protective glass dome from screwing into the fitting. Perhaps I used an unsuitable bulb 1st time I replaced the bulb? It's entirely possible that I have caused some permanent damage to the bulb holding fitting. I thought I had only used 25w bulbs though. Any ideas of how I can tackle this problem? Thanks, John.

Bulbs blow from incorrect voltage in use or loose ground wires ( arcing out)
if they fail while the oven is on it is because the bulb construction glass is wrong
bulbs used in ovens need a special heated treated glass and are generally only available from the service agent
failing immediately on turning on indicates a bigger problem that the bulb so call in an electrician to test the system

SOURCE: zanussi zbf260x built-in oven keeps tripping out

Probably due to a fault on the oven heating element. Check continuity and earth with a multimeter if you can but it's odds on you will need a new heating element.

Trip swich went when turned back on no power in oven at all

Hi intial problem will probably be a faulty heating element locatated behind the panel at the back. the zbf260 has no clock but if its a zbf 360 set the clock before the oven will function. otherwise the fault has damaged another component on the oven. which can be in order of most likley.fuse if on 13a supply/ thermostat/ selectorswitch/ thermal cutout/jw

Hello, I am having trouble with my built in Zanussi ZBF 360. When I turn the oven on to the fan symbol the 'on' light comes on and when I turn to the required temperature the heating light also appears. ...

If you cannot hear the fan going, then it is possible the fan is faulty, and the element has probably failed as well.
Both these components can be accessed by removing the panel at the rear of the oven compartment

Oven door zbf360x zanussi

Open the door half way, grasp it firmly and pull as hard as required using a slight side to side motion to release the hinges which are attached to the door.

There are then to nuts on the bottom of the door which when removed allows you to split the door in half.

The hinges have a little lever on them such that they can be jammed open against the door. Once the hinge hook is in the oven housing simply turn the latch the other way, stand back and have a beer.

Clock

Hi this is propably too late now but we moved in to our new house six months ago and have a Zanussi ZBF 360 oven, and had no idea how to set the timer / clock. After fiddling around with the oven clock for the last 6 months i managed to set the clock. It shouldn't be much different to the one you have. Hope this helps you and others in the future.

Click the middle button until the little red things on the screen moved round to the clock symbol, then press + or - to get to the correct time, once you have done this it will flash for a few seconds then it will stop flashing and the clock is set. The same goes for the timer to set it when you want to cook something for a period of time eg: ten mins.

As for getting the oven timer to turn it's self on and off I am still messing with it and when i have mastered it I will let people know.
