Whilpool Side-by-Side ED5PHEXNQ00 Ice Maker Stopped Working. The "level" is down indicating that is needs more ice to fill the bucket, but the ice maker will not make more ice. I felt in the tray, but I don't feel any ice in the tray...it is dry. The water dispenser to the door works and we can get water.

There are 2 clips that hold the Ice plus on. 1 top left, and 1 on the right side.
Slightly pull up on the front of each clip and remove the controller. most likely behind this you will find a gear that is broken and may fall out of the unit. As usual you can not buy just the gear. Contact Whirlpool for the replacement gear assembly.

Ice maker subzero 690 stuck won't make ice because i think the plastic flap that rises when the ice bucket fills is stuck and won't come down to turn on the water

There is a screw sticking out from the right side of the freezer wall that has a grey plastic spacer around it that acts as a stopper for the ice level arm. I have seen the ice level arm get stuck on top of this stopper before somehow. you just have to carefully bend the level arm around it and move it below the grey plastic stopper. If it is not stuck above that but the arm still will not come down, then the only other solution is likely a new icemaker, as the arm is geared internally to the icemaker to rise and fall as the ice is made.

If the ice maker is not refilling with water after its last harvest that points to the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve. If the ice maker just sits there with ice and does not empty into the ice bucket we will need to test the 4389102 Ice Level Control
Instructions on how to test can be found HERE If you have something else happening here please let me know, Sea Breeze
If the ice maker is not refilling with water the side of the water control valve that fills the ice maker is defective and you will still get water from the dispenser. The parts I listeed above are for your GS6SHAXLS03 refrigerator.

Whirlpool ED5VHGXML10. ice maker not working. Water not filling

If you look in the freezer there is a wire rod that goes from the ice tray to the bucket that the ice dumps into. As the level of the ice gets higher it pushes up on this wire rod to shut off the ice making operation. When the level of the ice drops the wire rod is suppose to drop and the ice making operation is suppose to resume. However a lot of times this wire rod sticks in the up position when the ice level drops. You just need to pull down on the wire rod. Try that, I think you will find that this is your problem. Please let me know if that worked for you. Thank you.

My icemaker isn't working. There's no water in the trays and it doesn't sound like it's trying. The model is tbx18ci.

Not sure what setup your ice maker has to let it know when the ice tray is full, but some ice makers have a bail that goes up with rising ice levels. When the ice bucket fills up, the ice maker shuts down.

Lifting the bail up all the way until it catches on a small ledge turns this type ice maker off. If ice is allowed to stack in the bucket too high, or is shoved back as someone scooped out ice, the bail may inadvertently have been pushed onto the ledge.

Bottom line; check whatever method your ice maker uses to turn off ice production when the bucket is full to see if it is in the OFF position.

Ice maker not working

Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . Also , check the black fill hose that fill the ice maker , to make sure it is not frozen . If the ice maker dumps the cubes , then replace the water inlet valve . If the ice maker holds the ice , and does not dump , replace the ice maker . When you open the freezer door , the laser light , should blink twice , then pause ,repeatedly . If you close the flap on the left side , the laser should go off . These are indication that the optics are good . If you open the door , and no laser light , then that means that the ice maker is in the harvest (dump) mode . If it stays this way , ice maker is bad .

Ice maker not working

Hello.

First of all you need make sure that your freezer is freezing enough. Sometimes everything will seem to be freezing ok, but it won’t be cold enough to make the icemaker work. The best way is to squeeze your ice cream, if you have any that is.

Then you need to make sure that the ice level sensing arm is in the down/on position.
Also make sure that the ice bucket is positioned properly so as to trigger the ice bucket sensing switch.

If all of this checks out ok, let me know and I can guide you through an icemaker diagnosis by forcing it into a harvest mode.

Kenmore Ice Maker not dropping ice

Sounds like the arm which determines if ice bucket is full is hanging up on something. Does this arm move up and down freely? If not, you just need to replace the complete ice maker.
