I just got my Rebel 2000 for a camera class, and I used two different rolls of film. I was just messing around since I don't know much, but I used a black and white film, and a fuji film color film. Both were 400. Fact is, I played around wasting both rolls, and when I went to Rite Aid to get them developed today, they showed me that there was nothing at all on the film!
Could this be a setting or something I did wrong?! Or was it simply that there's something wrong with the camera? I bought it used at Service Photo in Baltimore city.
I appreciate any help I can get.

The Ilford Delta 400 Professional is indeed DX coded. Since the camera does not allow you to check the shutter without film inside, there's no way we can confirm the shutter is working properly. So only option is a service center. Since all other things are working properly, it should be a simple repair.

The film did wind fully in and I mounted it correctly. The camera said exactly how many exposures the film had (36 for black and white) and (24 for color). The black and white was Ilford Delta 400 Professional film. Every time I took a shot the counter counted down. I'm not positive if I had it set correctly or not, but wouldn't something have shown on the film at all?
I'm taking a class for this and the first actual day we use the camera hasn't started yet. I don't know anything really about taking pictures so I was goofing off. I don't know if it was Dx coded or not.
Does it sound like something I did? Or is it what I fear, the camera.
Thanks

How did you mount the film? Did the film wind into the camera when you loaded it? Was the frame counter advancing? What setting have you used to take the images? Did you hear the 'clicking' sound? Also check if your film is DX coded (you will see silvered rectangular segments on the film canister). If not, you need to manually set the ISO to 400 when using an ISO 400 film.
