According to the manual I have, that is a site wiring fault. It means that there is no ground on your AC line coming into the unit.
If you e-mail me, I will send you the pdf of the manual.

I posted the manual on this site. They said it could take 24 hrs for it to be reviewed and posted on-line.

Are the outlets that you use to plug it in grounded? have you unpluged it for a bit and plug it back in to try and reset it? the red light could also be a malfunction of the surge protection. or the battery is bad. hope this helps you, glen

I have a 2006 VW passat and electronic power steering

If you put it on a code reader it will likely say this, 44-Steering Assist -- Status: Malfunction 0010 if you delete the code it may get it working, if not the sensor is inside the steering rack so would need another rack, Jacking it up may have just upset the sensor so clearing the fault code may work...

My ups battery backup time is too short even i replace the battery

sounds like you have too many devices plugged in, it's not the ups that's failing it's the amount of power it takes to keep all you devices running. you may want to buy a larger ups or you can unplug some of the devices you don't need in the event of power outage. if it's just your pc your power supply might be sucking up alot of juice, i'd check and see what the power consumption rate is on that particular power supply.

NO VOLTS OUT

hello

As you have mentioned that the light are glowing shows that it is not a hardware circuitry problem.

I think that you have to check the battery of the UPS and replace it if needed..

To me it doesn't seems like a circuitry problem.

Thank you

Getting red light and continuously beep sound to my UPS(Frontech)

hi

If it is showing the red light and continuous beep it shows that the battery is completely gone.

You can buy a battery and replace it by yourself.

Or get it to a professional to change the battery.

you need not replace the whole UPS its just a battery problem.

Thank you

UPS Batteries bulging and not working

There are several reasons for a buldged battery.

Mainly - older batteries do that. These batteries are meant to be replaced every so often. The r1500 is an older model, and therefore if those are the original batteries, it's probably normal.

My unit the battery is about to die also, I will be replacing it soon :-).

If it is the single light to the left of the batery symbol it means "Potential Battery Failure". I have a pdf of the manual that I found at a different forum site. I am not sure how to post an attachment here. E-mail me and I will send it to you.

My client has 19" in rack mount ups's circa 3kW. The building has generator back up however when we drop the mains and put the building on generator the ups do not see the generator hence stay on...

It sounds like someone wired your outlets wrong. I actually just found the same exact thing in my server room. All other outlets in our office are covered by our generator backup power except our server racks. I would suggest contacting the original electrician that installed the wiring to come out and check it again. Something is clearly wired wrong.
