Getting red light and continuously beep sound to my UPS(Frontech)
hi
If it is showing the red light and continuous beep it shows that the battery is completely gone.
You can buy a battery and replace it by yourself.
Or get it to a professional to change the battery.
you need not replace the whole UPS its just a battery problem.
Thank you

Ups batteries bulge what is
usually batteries will bulge when they have been charged for too long with a low capacity. if the batteries are a few years old or more, they start to deplete in capacity. so the heat from the constant rate of charge causes the batteries to get hot and expand. you need to replace the batteries.
My emerge UPS 500 is
you need new batteries,
then i think all will be back to normal.
WARNING

Solid red light on R1500 rackmount UPS
If it is the single light to the left of the batery symbol it means "Potential Battery Failure". I have a pdf of the manual that I found at a different forum site. I am not sure how to post an attachment here. E-mail me and I will send it to you.

UPS Batteries bulging and not working
There are several reasons for a buldged battery.
Mainly - older batteries do that. These batteries are meant to be replaced every so often. The r1500 is an older model, and therefore if those are the original batteries, it's probably normal.
My unit the battery is about to die also, I will be replacing it soon :-).
How to turn off Compaq R1500 UPS System?
Press and HOLD the power button on/off..until the unit goes into the standby mode...unfortunately there is not a switch on the back of the unit so you are required to literally unplug the unit...which will completely power down the unit.
