Ge wsm2420 will not drain after washing

The washer was working fine as of yesterday. I have unplugged it and removed the front panel. The hose was not kinked. The spin cycle works without issue. I don't hear the motor turn on after the wash cycle. Could it be clogged? Do I need to replace the motor?

SOURCE: GE Washing machine won't spin in rinse cycle

Possible your outlet filter is blocked. This requires cleaning depending on your usage. Clean this out and refit. Good luck. Plug off the wall first.

SOURCE: GE WJSE3110A washer, won't drain

On a scale of 1 -10, I'd rate this about a 3.5 in difficulty.
Un plug machine.
Use a putty knife to push the clips in at the seam of the front panel and the washer's top, about two inches in from each side to allow you to pull the front panel forward and then lift it off the bottom pegs.
If you took off that drain hose, you shouldn't have any water left in the machine, so take the two squeeze hose clamps off the pump hoses, the electrical wires off the pump, and the two 3/8 size bolts holding the pump to the washer's base.
Now check to see if the pump is plugged or obstructed with an object. Replace pump with cleaned out or new pump as necessary.

SOURCE: washer wil not spin or drain out after cycle completed

sounds like drain is plugged. this is a fairly easy fix,and you actually get paid to do it. unscrew the bottom panel of your washer should be 3 screws on the very bottom then you will see a white plug that is about 2 1/2" unscrew it (make sure you have a bowl under it water will leak ) and pull it out. this is where you get paid you will find all kinds of change and junk just clean it out reinstall and your clothes will be a lot drier after the spin cycle

I have a roper washer 5 years old and it won't drain or turn on now it was working fine yesterday ive unplugged replugged pulled out all the clothes checked power supply and hoses what now?

I looked up your model number. You particular machine allows for wash with the lid open. You nothing happens. On that case I would check the motor capacitor.

Unplug machine and remove front bottom panel by removing one screw from the bottom left and right corner on front of machine. Remove hose from pump (be ready to mop up water) and clean out obstuctions from pump and sump area (rubber boot just before pump). If no obstuctions found, replace pump.

Where?s the filter on my GE WSXH208A Front Loader? Thank you beltronic205 (GE WSXH208A Front Loader won?t drain). I drained the tub by lowering the drain hose as suggested. But where is the filter, what...

There is no acutal filter on this unit...You cab remove the back panel to access the drain pump ...Or tilt the washer back and access it from the bottom...Remove the drain hose from tub to drain pump...(careful of flow of water from tub)...Check the hose for any blockage...If no blockage then your pump is bad..

GE WJSR2050T2WW Washer fills up,Spins but won't drain out?

The most common reason for no pump out is a blockage in the pump. Best to drain as much water as possible. (even laying the drain hose down to allow as much of the water to drain out as possible) Un-plug washer. Next, open the front of the washer by using a putty knife to push in and release the clips about two inches in from each side at the seam where the front panel meets the washer top. Pull the front panel forward and lift it off the bottom pegs. Remove spring clamps from inlet and outlet of pump with a plier. Remove two pump mounting screws to allow pump removal after unplugging electrical leads. Remove obstruction from pump. Most pump bodies can be separated if necessary. Reassemble, plug back in and test.

Fixing a clogged pump on GE Profile washer

Take a putty knife and slide it in between the front panel and top to pop the clips that hold on the top. Remove the front panel and you will see the pump down in the front corner. Remove the hoses (watch for water) and you should see any clog. Check hoses and drain line (home) to be sure there is no clog in those while you have it apart. Be sure to unplug your machine before working on it as well. Good Luck!!! Jim
