What brand of saw it? Possible problem with the carburetor. A faulty carburetor diaphragma or even a broken crankshaft seal.

My chainsaw started great first time. then it started stalling after cutting. then it siezed up, but i got cord going again. now it wont start at all. ive only cut down 1 tree and still have limbs to...

If you think it seized, whip the muffler off and take a look at the condition of the piston skirt through the open exhaust port, any sign of damage and it will not start again, be aware the shop where you purchased the saw from may well blame the fuel oil mix you have used.

Chainsaw won't start

Try getting a new fuel filter. I sounds like its not getting fuel.
Also make sure that you are getting spark.
