Not responding to what device? Your computer is getting a litte long in the tooth, if the USB device is a Thumb Drive over 2GB's it may need a Patch/ hotfix. Open HP updates and Windows updates. Or is there another issue.
Thanks for the quick reply, appears none of the USB's are working for any USB device. Found others with the same problem and working through their solutions. Have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers with no success. Will try the FixIt wizard in the MS KB. Trying best not to have pop the case :-)
I had a HP compaq SR 1120 nx , they are easy to work on. It may be , like my old 1120, it's starting to fail, one component at a time. Mine started to go after 6 years, the sound started to act up one channel out in 5.1 speakers, PSU replaced, etc. I finally "pulled the plug" stripped usable part , and sent it out into the world. Let us know the progress of the patient.
