Canon A310 about 3 yrs old. Working fine until today. Completely dead. Replaced batteries and memory card. Nothing. No power at all. Any suggestions? Is it worth fixing?
Try checking this... on the battery door (the outside door) along the top edge (over the CF card pointer embossed in the back of the door) you should see a little plastic piece that pokes out... tis is supposed to push a small switch located in a slot over the battery compartment. It's the sensor that tells if the battery door is open or closed.. if the plastic part breaks off or gets chipped it wont push the button and the camera will not turn on when the shutter door is opened.
