The Gigabyte mainboard you have uses DDR333, PC2700 RAM memory.
Your model GA-81845GVM-RZ has 2-slots and each slot can have up to a 1GB of memory, therefore you can have 2GB total RAM memory on this model mainboard.

I recommend mainstream, reliable pair of 1gb each memory modules such as Crucial.

We are not going to be able to tell you if the CPU is compatible with the Gigabyte motherboard without knowing the make and model of the motherboard that the CPU originally came out of. If you could provide us with that information we will be able to tell you the socket type and whether or not the CPU is compatible with the Gigabyte motherboard.

If your using AMD LE-1150 you cant use a dualcore nor a core2duo because the socket of your motherboard is for AMD microprocessor only you can upgrade or change your procs to any AMD AM2 dual core model make sure you check the specs of your motherboard for supported CPU list. you can find that in their website

If you mean dual core cpu, I built my system over a year ago and it runs just fine, and better than any system that I ever had. BTW I am running an Intel dual core, but an AMD doesn't make a difference.
