Just recently my 98 Toyota Corrolla has started blowing a fuse.

On this car I had the dome light on for maybe two minutes and then put the light switch back in the door position and a fuse blew. The dome light, the radio and the indash clock are all on this circuit. after locating in my manual the fuse box I found the dome light fuse-15amp, this was blown. I replaced the 15amp fuse and everything came back to life and then the fuse blew again. This fuse was replaced two more times each time it blew without any componet coming to life. What is my problem, how do I solve it! HELP

I would remove the dome light, and disconnect the wiring connector, and then put in another fuse. If it does not blow, I would think that the dome light switch is shorted to ground.

IF it was me, I would simply take it back to the dealership. It MAY be a known problem.

Hope this helps.

I have a 98 toyota Avalon. The fuse for the dome keeps blowing

I'd look for a direct short, possibly a bare wire that has rubbed insulation off.

Start at the lamp socket first and any switch that might be located at the dome light itself, see if you see anything.

Next I'd check the door switches and then selector switch on the dash.

After that, it's going to be trracing wires, not an easy job.
