Are you sure the model is N400E and not N4000E ?. Try the following steps to reset the Print Server:

1. Remove the power cable from the Print Server
2. Take a pencil and press the small button on the back of the print server. Above the button is a label with "Test" written on it.
3. While keeping this button pressed insert the power cable back into the Print Server and then let go of the button.

Hopefully this should reset your print server.

Lexmark S405 refill cartridge reset

When a Lexmark cartridge is refilled, it will not be able to report its ink level.
Please note that all Lexmark printers work best when original supplies or genuine Lexmark cartridges are used. We do not recommend the use of third party, refilled or remanufactured cartridges - you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark.
