You can try formatting it as a fat 32 card with a computer.

SOURCE: I cannot format my new memory card

is the card unlocked, take the card out and see if the little button on the side of the memory card is in the lock position, hopefully this fixes your problem, otherwise I would take the card back

SOURCE: Memory Card

make sure that the memory card you bought is a secure digital (SD) memory card. the kodak memory you have might not be an SD card.

SOURCE: Camera new, used once, busy light stuck will not do anything

I did not find a solution, fortunately as the camera was still within its warranty period of 1 year, we are arranging to return it to the store where it was purchased.

SOURCE: New camera, new 2gb memory card saying memory card

Hello

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

If it is a new camera , you should take it in for a exchange.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Kind regards
Andrea

7D wont work. It switches on but wont take a picture and the menu screen wont come on

Try formatting a memory card and trying it again. If the buffer is full and the card is full or corrupt the camera cannot take another image because it has nowhere to put it. Corrupt cards can cause a lot of problems Formatting cards regularly will made a big difference is camera performance. JUST BEWARE, FORMATTING PERMANENTLY ERASES ALL MEMORY CARD DATA., So copy the card info over to a HHD, or flash drive before you format.

I hae inserted a brand new memory card PYN 16mg with no pictures. I tried to format the memroy card and got "file sys error e00100"

16MB or 16GB? If you just bought it, I doubt it's 16MB so I'm going to assume it's 16GB.

The C330 works with MMC and SD cards. A 16GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

If it actually is a 16MB card, please reply to this post and we'll take it from there.

My Cannon s5si keeps saying busy after I take a picture

If possible, test your camera with a different memory card. If the issue goes away, there may be corrupt data or bad sectors on your card. You may try formatting the card in your camera to see if it resolves this issue. (Note that formatting will erase all data from the card. Be sure to save any files you wish to keep before formatting the card.)

Kodak dc290 digital camera keeps giving formatting failed error

Try cleaning the contacts on the memory card(usually sraping them lightly with a knife helps with contact) and if that doesn't work try formatting the card in your computer.

If the card is a removable memory card, take it out and use a adapter on your computer.  Format the card on your computer then put it back into your camera.  It should be ok after formatting on PC.
