SOURCE: no wi-fi signal transmitted

There is a reset button in the back of your router, which will reset it to all default settings. Try this to get the router to work.

Also is it hard wired into another computer? Check it out that way. make sure the router is working.

good luck

SOURCE: Does my WRT160N have a

The Linksys WRT160N has WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). If you are using WPA-PSK encryption (recommended), then you can easily connect the C4780 to your wireless network using WPS:

1) On the Linksys router, press the WPS button that is top of the case just under the Cisco label. When the LED on the button starts to blink, then the WPS process has started.

SOURCE: hp printer says to press the WPS button on the router. What's that?

  • Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) is a standard for easy and secure wireless network set up and connections.
  • WPS lets you use push buttons or PINS instead of entering a network name (SSID) and wireless security by hand.
  • Push button: The WPS button is either on the product or a clickable button on a wizard or utility screen.
  • Personal Identification Number (PIN): The PIN is either on a product label or can be viewed on a wizard or utility screen. The PIN is entered for either the router or access point, or for the wireless device that wants to join the network.

SOURCE: Does the linksys-G support WPS or AOSS?

Good question, I have the same router & Brother HL-2280DW and ran the printer setup CD from Windows XP SP3 via temporary USB connection & it seemed to work. The WAN report on the printer itself says OK, however the computer can't seem to find the printer "No devices could be found on the network." I let setup make changes to Windows Firewall, not sure about Microsoft Security Essentials however. This seems like a nice printer/copier at a nice price but this setup is frustrating! PS If it's a security issue I'd like to say thanks to all the hackers for ruining technology for everyone, your junk is responsible for slowing down & complicating computers & technology in the world. Someone please do everyone a favor & start making antibodies that *kill* viruses & spyware & spam and clean & speed things up for a change! All these villians - Where are the cyber super heroes????

How do I set up my Wavlink WiFi Range Extender?

Press the WPS button on your host router, then press the WPS button on the extender within 2 minutes.

Wait until the Signal LED changes to solid blue, which indicates that the WPS connection is successful.

It's done and the WI-FI repeater will automatically find the signal.

Enjoy. Both extended networks share the same SSIDs (network names) and passwords as those of your host networks.

Can a WiFi repeater with WPS connect to a Wireless router without WPS ? I can't seem to get them to connect to each other via WiFi

WPS only works with client Wi-Fi devices that have a WPS button.
Your router does not have it, so it does not work.

2. Select a radio button.
• Push and Connect (recommended). Either click the button or press the WPS
button on the rear panel of the Internet adapter.
• PIN Number. Select the radio button and a PIN displays.
The Internet adapter tries to join the wireless network for 2 minutes if you are using Push
'N' Connect, or 4 minutes if you are using a PIN.
3. Go to the router.
• If you are using Push 'N' Connect, press the router's WPS button.
• If you are using a PIN, log in to the router and type the PIN from your Internet adapter
in its WPS screen.
4. Go back to the computer that is connected to the Internet adapter, and make sure that you
are connected to the wireless network.
• When WPS is running, the WLAN LED blinks, alternating between green and amber.
• If the computer does not to connect with WPS, the WLAN LED is solid red for 5
seconds.
• If the computer does connect using WPS, the WLAN LED is solid green for 5 seconds

Where is the was button

I'm guessing you mean the WPS button - "Wireless Protected Setup" - As far as I can see from the User Guide this router doesn't have an actual WPS Button - You need to log onto its admin web interface and browse to the WPS setup page - Press the WPS button on your client device (laptop, printer, etc) then Click the WPS button in the router's web interface and let them talk to each other to establish a secure connection - The WPS light on the Front Panel should then light up when connected - You can find a user guide at the following url:
