There are many possible cause of a leak. If it is set to portable make sure that the faucet is off after the cycle. You also need to make sure that you are not over loading the washing machine. Please refer to owners manual how much is the capacity your washing machine can take. Drain lines is also a possibility for this leak as well as the intake inlet. If it's leaking in the center most likely the bearing have broke off and you might need a new center seal. This job requires a professional to be replaced. My advice for Avanti users is to return it and buy something else that is trusted and branded for quality and performance.

I HAVE A LEAK FROM RIGHT BOTTOM OF A SAMSUNG WF448AAP/XXA-000 FROMT LOAD WASHER ONLY HAPPENS DURING RINSE CYLCE

Hello Harlan;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Your drain hose is in the back on the right hand side. This is a rubber hose. After a time the rubber may be dry rotted and leak or become partly clogged with soap residue.

Once completing the wash cycle the soapy water may have not completely drained due to a partly clogged drain hose by the time the rinse cycle is complete flooding the washer drain pan.

You do not have water in the bottom of the washer because your pump removed it all, but at a slower rate

Ok, Lets fix this ourselves:

1.) On the bottom right front of your washed is a leveling leg.
turn the leveling leg one full turn clockwise. The right front may be pitched down, causing the drain pan level on this corner to be high. Your washer through vibration may have moved slightly. This is not going to solve the problem.

2.) Pull your washing machine out so you can see the drain hose. Run some laundry on heavy load. Observe to see if your drain hose is leaking. Your hose clamps may be loose and require tightening. If it is leaking it needs to be replaced.

3.) Even if your drain hose is not leaking it must be obstructed, flooding the bottom of your unit. This is easily replaced.

The part number for your drain hose is DC97-12534D. It cast about $24.00.

My GE washer leaks water during spin cycle only, seemingly from bottom of valve(?) where water hoses hook up, hoses look to be in good shape, only a year or so old.

If it is leaking at where the drain hose comes out of the wash machine, make sure the plastic spider clamp is seated securely in the groove on the drain hose. If that's not it, then, yes, you'll need to open up your washer to gain access to the inside of it. I don't know which model GE wash machine you have, but most of the GE top loaders can be opened by following the instructions in this youtube video:

Good luck!

Water runs out at the bottom of the front cover of the machine and doesn't spin properly?

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

My Bosch washing machine is leaking from the bottom of the right hand side of machine when not in use.

g'day, sounds like the leak is coming from the hose - this is because the leak is occurring when its off. Check seals on hose at the back of machine. You can always find old sets of hoses as well (or buy them), so you can try swapping them over. Keep in mind, with washing machine hoses (like gardening hoses), the seal is at the rubber washers not the thread on the tap... so plumbers tap will not stop a leak, it will hinder the seal.
An alternative solution is simply turn tap's off between washes...

Water comes out the bottom of washer as fast as it goes in the top

hazy, it's possible it's running out your pump. You need to pull the cabinet off to get a real look at where the leak is coming from. Check out the pics...and post back.
