This problem is possible due to to aera going over to digital transmisstions
you will need to have a tv with digital tuner built in , if this so connect a scrat lead from your tv to to the scart socket on you dvd recorder , then with the remote control for the dvd select the scart in put this button maybe call input selector or source. in this condition you will only be able to record the progam that your are watching. if you tv does not have a digital tuner fitted you will need to obtain a digital box. If you purshase one with two scarts sockets then one can be connected to the dvd and one to the tv again only the programe being watcch can be recorded> two digital boxes will be required if a different programme than the one watched is requird to record. If it is a combination VCR/DVD player,they usually can't do it.If you get a separate VCR player from a friend or neighbor,you can connect the VCR output to a cable box input,cable box output into DVD input,or if the DVD recorder has a digital tuner you can plug the VCR output player straight into the input of the DVD recorder.DVD recorders REQUIRE some form of digital input.That is why you need to route a VCR player through a cable box or the DVD recorder needs a digital tuner.If you are not sure if your recorder has a digital tuner,call sansui,they will know.I tried to find Sansui home and I found everything BUT DVD/VCR.If you have a manual it will be in there,or it may have a phone number on a label(back or bottom probably)of the unit.Good luck!Greg If you want to send me your model number,I will research it further too.It is up to you.

Go video remote for dvd/vcr recorder combo; you program TV by 2 digit codes. press TV power down when TV is powered on; and input 11 for JVC TV, or 03 for GE TV. You can experiment any two digit codes until TV shut down, then you have just finished programing n150b remote. This also work for all LG dvd/vcr combo recorder remote such as 6711RN203A..

Purchased two of these VCR/DVD recorders (for the ATSC-digital tuner) in March 2007 at Best Buy. They play PAL/region 0 out of the box. To enable region-free playback I used the CD-ROM previously made for my LG LST-3510A. Visit this link for the files to burn your disc:

Next:
--Power on the player and load the CD-ROM
--In a few moments a text box appears displaying current DVD region and a second line to change DVD region
--Press the number you wish (most likely "0") on the remote control
--Press "Enter" on the remote control
--In a few seconds the player will eject the disc. Remove the CD-ROM from the tray and power off

Upon powering on the player my region 2 and 4 DVD's play fine but Macrovision still remains.

Click the HOME button on the remote with the unit in 480i resolution
Click the setup page
Click Start
Click TV Aspect
highlight the 16x9 wide aspect ratio
enter on remote control this coded sequence:
1397139

Edit specific "Options"

Option 2: 35 (enables Divx/Xvid playback)
Option 4: ff (enables Vcd and SVCD playback)
Option 5: ff (enables region free playback (region 0) DVD playback)
Option 6: ce (enables Insignia brand startup logo on boot)
Option 6: c0 (enables LG brand startup logo on boot)

Here's how:

Turn on the electronic you will programming the code for.
Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the COE SEARCH button.

Press and RELEASE the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks quickly, then stays lit.

Enter the 3 digit code from the code tables.

With the device on, press CHANNEL UP on your remote. If the device responds, no further programming is required.
