I just bought this Acer monitor and I can't figure out how to change any of the settings on it I hav read the user manual but don't understand it. I want to adjusts the contrast and brightness and so on the book talks about it but it makes no sense to me. If anyone could explain this in simple terms I would appreciat it, Thanks
Umm...usually if it is a desk top there will be buttons either on the side, front or back or even the top, one looks like a sun and another looks like a square thats normally half white and half black. they are your brightness and contrast...push either end of the buttons to adjust more bright or less bright, more contrast or less contrast.

if you go into the screens menu, there will be a button for contrast and brightness. When you have the one you want selected, press munu again and that will bring up the dialog to change the percentages.

you change the settings manually using the up and down arrow buttons or plus or minus buttons mounted on the front of your monitor you dont need to use mouse.

By initiating the on screen menu, you navigate to the brihghtness etc.This can also be related to contrast. Get a keyboard with zoom keys that will make it east to enlarge text.Mine is a logitech wireless S510 and its a great bargain and comes with mouse.the best solution is, however to buy a 42 inch or larger display and use that as you monitor. I can never go back!

Sometimes all you have to do is press the left or right adjustment buttons, one will bring up contrast adjustment, the other brightness.
Otherwise simply browse through the menu settings.
