My Frigidaire FMV156DC stopped working Christmas Eve. The clock, timer, display, fan, etc. all work but when you press START nothing happens.

On the way Tuesday, I have a service agreement , a note to all when you go to buy a above the stove microwave oven it's important that you pull the door open if the door is really hard to pull open a hard to close that's a sign it's a Frigidaire and it's not worth two cents

Food won't heat up

Hello, I had the same problem, and just fixed mine. Start by turning on your microwave (on mine, the light turned on and timer worked, but the fan nor the plate turned)... push the door upward and see if the microwave turns on... (mine did). so far so good. open the door and take the upper hinge cap off with flat head screwdrive. take the door off and place a small washer on the bottom hinge, put the door back on. your microwave should be good now. essentially, the door just needs to be pushed up a bit so it will work.
good luck, hope that works for you...

Microwave GE JES738 doesn't heat

Almost certainly the magnetron tube in your oven shorted and caused the light show and sound effects. This is the microwave source, and without the waves there's no heat. The tube is replaceable, but it's a costly parts. Add in repair labor, and you'd be better off replacing the oven. New ones are often cheaper than the parts alone today.

My two year old Frigidaire Microwave suddenly stopped cooking. All of the buttons work. The lights, the fan, the timer, and even the cooking timer operate. It's just that the light goes on and the timer...

Check the plug. If the vault is 110v or 220v etc.

If the plug seems to be right, but still not
working, you should buy a new one
with a good name brand you can trust.
It's better than paying for repairs and future repairs.

Frigidaire won't run

Quite often this is due to a bad door switch. Opening the door while cooking (without first hitting the STOP pad) is the primary cause of door switch failure. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info (as well as a text file which helps in diagnosing and repairing door switch problems) at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk
