I understand that your Frigidaire dryer door keeps popping open during the cycle. I suggest making sure that the door has been completely closed before starting the cycle. If this is done, and the door is still popping open, there might be something going on with the door latch. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why the door keeps opening mid-cycle. Hope this is helpful.
I have had to change the door switch on every washer and drier I have ever had. Just a thought: If the door switch is bad the drier and washer will not start working. The one I changed on my drier about a month ago, when I opened the door and played with the switch while pushing the start button it finally came on. I changed the switch and no more problems. If the door is open the dryer and washer are not supposed to operate. I have changed some which you could not move around on those I would pull the wires off the door switch. Depending on if the switch is normally open or closed I would connect the two wire and try to start or leave them separate and try to start..
broken door switch,if the dryer hasn't been cleaned out and you changed out the thermal fuse could be one of the t-stats on the heater box,the model number you sent doesn't come up, Ler7646jqo,open the door, you'll see a tag with the model and serial numbers,on the frame around the door opening.you'll need an ohms meter to check the parts, you have to remove at least one wire going to the part you're checking with the machine unplugged and check the part for continuity,if the dryer hasn't been cleaned out most likely the high limit thermostat on the heater box.if you don't clean out the dryer and vent line it will pop again until the dryer is cleaned, the dryer is running to hot from the lint blocking the air movement and the fuse pops as a safety device so you don't have a fire.
It could be the door is coming open just enough to trigger the switch to the off position. Even though the door looks closed it could be partially open. Most likely the clips that hold the door shut are not tight enough that when the clothes hit the door it pops open a little bit. These clips are basically springs and over time they loosen up.
most of the time. its the door switch that causes this. if door is closed and it does not start, its the door switch. try this! unplug power, remove the door switch, hook the wires from switch together. this will make a complete curcuit.put black tape on wires so it wont short out. plug back in. it should work, if it runs ok door switch is bad. good-day !
Try this. Set the timer. Open the door, press and hold the light switch. Rotate the drum by hand then while still holding the light switch turn on the dryer. If it starts then clos the door while removing your finger quickly. If this problem persists it could be the starter on your motor.
