Help me please with my Philips GoGear SA3025/02.

I want to convert a .mp4 video file and a .png file. I put the cd in and installed the two things I needed: -Philips SA30xx Media Converter -Philips Device Manager. I did put the two files that I wanted(.mp4, .png) as I said before and clicked convert. It didn't work. It says to me "Error: Please install the codec and the latest Microsoft DirectX(TM)." This is for the .mp4 file. The .png file is not supported but I don't really care... What should I do with this codecs and stuff?

    My MP3 player is SA3020, but I get the same message when trying to convert wma files. Very frustrating.

My name is Vidya Nagaraj. i have a SA3025 2gb gogear. I have not used for few months approx. 4-5 months. it is not switching on now i am unable to charge it also if i try charging it as usual. feeling very bad that such a nice and cute MP4 is not working. PLeeeease help solve my problem. thanks vidya

I can't convert my videos to the format that the Philips GoGear Vibe can support.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. This is the FAQ I found on the support website. I think it is always safe to use the Philips songbird to do the converting and transferring.

"Please always use Philips Songbird to transfer your videos (.mp4) file to avoid playback issue.

What video format can I put on my gogear vibe 4 gb mp3 player? I found a website that converts videos but I don't know what format to convert to. I do not want to install the gogear video conversion so...
just use the songbird program that comes with the device, update it from the net, then drag n drop .avi and .mp4 files (this is all i've tried so far..). it will convert my 700mb avi movie files and put them on the device.

why not try to use a easy to use converter to help u?
Just get this tool to help you.
1. load your file to Video Sharer
2. choose mp4 format
3. click" convert" button.
Then you will get the right format.

If your mp3 player is an SA178, then you can't. If it is a Philips Go Gear that does support video, then you have to run the video through the Philips Media Converter that came with the installation CD first, which is also available from Philips website. Start --> All Programs --> Philips Media Converter inside the Media Converter --> Add Files - find file (if the file does not appaear, run the video file through the Rive Flv Encoder, changing the "Output" extension to .avi) --> Convert to Device (with the Go Gear plugged in)
