Cannot connect to wireless network

does it have wireless capability? most ricoh/savin/lanier/gestetner machines must have an option installed.

if you have it networked via lan port and have a wireless access point on the same network you should be able to ping the unit and access the gui. if so it is already "wireless" in a sense

Ricoh Aficio 1027 network connection problem with vista x86

It will not work to directly connect a network cable directly from the network port of the printer directly to your computer. You will have to use a cross-over cable and configure your TCP/IP settings manually. However, to utilize network printing and have internet access, you will want to get a router and connect your modem to the ethernet port of the router, then a network cable from pc to switch port on router, and a network cable from printer to a differnt switch port on router. Most consumer routers have a built in 4-port switch, so that should allow enough connections. You may want to consult a local IT company or Ricoh dealer for the rest of the setup. This will allow the framework for network printing and/or scanning.

HI I am trying to connect my printer via a router

You need to plug your comuter into one of the LAN Port and the Copier into another LAN port your Modem into toyr WAN port. Then you will need the IP of the router it should com along with the router Info and either be 192.168.000.1 or 192.168.0.1. add an ip spec range Isusualle use 192.168.000.120 this goes into your copier under network protacals in user tools. under the same area setup sub net mask 255.255.255.0 if you have already installed you Ricoh AP3800 Driver place the ip 192.168.000.120 again the 3rd set of numbers either .000 or .001 depending on your router. SO under start menu go to either printer and faxes or control panel right click on printer icon for ricoh AP3800 go to properties select the ports tab, Click add Port select Standared TCP ip Clickm the new port. Click next Add your IP adress for the Copier here. Click next Next window will have Generic network card so press NEXT and then Finished Close printer ports window and then click apply. This should get you printing

Need help setting up printer on a network

Set a compatible IP address on machine:
"user tools"
"system settings"
"interface settings"
"IP address" (set compatible number)
"subnet mask" (set the right one)

Download driver if it's not done already, create the matching tcp/ip port, and continue with installation. Select "share this printer".

Driver is here if you need it:

Netgear FWG114P Print Sever not functioning on upper level of LAN

if you set your dynalink's dhcp list up to a certain number (example: .1-.99). connect cat5 cable from dynalink lan port, into print server lan port. make sure print server can be setup as access point. if so, turn access point setting to on. make print server static ip address the next number outside of dhcp range (example: .100).

.100 ip address is the port number you should then be printing to, using a tcp/ip port.

if print server can be set up this way, then it now becomes wireless access point for all wireless devices. i am assuming, since you didn't mention it, that the dynalink is NOT wireless. if it is, the the print server just becomes another device on your existig network, taking the place of the network adapter the printer doesn't have. just set it up the same way you would set up another workstation on the network. except, make it static.

Problem in scanner when scan

Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.

This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!

My Ricoh Laser Printer is not working

For to use the network printer first of all you should have a network connection port.
If you have one on your printer than you should install a driver on the computer from where you will print then connect the cable with network LAN cable which the one end is connected into the printer and the other into the network switch or router. After this is done go to start menu on you computer than go to printers and faxes and select the printer driver 1515 press the right click and click on properties then go to port and create a TCP/IP port similar to the computer ip address.

EXAMPLE:
if the address on the computer is 192.168.0.100
than put the address of the printer as follow
192.168.0.101

Please look at the paper sheet which is printed from the machine by her self when the machine is turned on for the first time in the day.
There should have a port name which can be 10001 or 9100 or 9101 or similar.
Enter that number in the TCP/IP port properties than go to the machine and press the [User tools/ Counter] key then go to system settings and than network settings and enter there the ip address which you had enter before on the driver in the computer.

Configuration of LAN fax

The best solution I use is Smart Net Monitor, which is supplied with the Ricoh disks or can be downloaded from www.ricoh-usa.com . First you need to install the lan fax driver, after that then install Smartnet Monitor.

From there click start, and then control panel, then printers and faxes, then right click on the Ricoh LAN fax driver, from there click properties, click ports, then click add a port, under available ports you will see smartnet port (highlite) and then select new port, a new box will come up and then select search, the software will then make the connection and add the port. Besure to click ok and apply and then you are connected
