I have a 1996 Audi cabriolet 2.8 and it runs very slow .It sometimes takes more time to change into second gear ,and it kinda thumps a bit.It has around 97,000 miles and have done alot of work to it ,but that problem is still there.I had the mechanics change the timing belt and the water pump at atound 70,000 miles.I had to get it fixed because it didnt pass the smog test one time ,and thats the only time i felt the car run how it should ,it felt really smooth and quiet .They changed the oxygen sensors and cleaned the air intake and some other stuff ,the mechanics werent very specific in the bill report to what they did.So do you guys think my problem lies within changing oxygen sensors or something else ???And if so, every when should i change my sensors ?
