Clear the display so that zero shows, then press STO M2 to store zero in the M2 registry. Any time there is a non-zero number stored in M1, M2 or M3, you will see those memories in the display to remind you there's something stored. There is no "clear memory" function on the TI-30XA, you have to store zero in the memory to clear M1, M2 or M3 from the display.

OK, my lack of clarity...to store in M2, press "STO" then "2"

To store in M1, press "STO" then "1"

To store in M3, press "STO" then "3"

There is no "memory clear" button on the TI-30XA, and values stored in the three memory registers are retained through power off.

So, if that M1, M2 or M3 in the display bugs you, save the value "zero" into the memory location and the display will clear.

Personally, I ignore it, since the next stored value over writes whatever is there. The "M1" etc in the display is just to remind you that you have something stored

On my TI 30 XA, I can not get it out of Degree mode.

Why do you want to get out od Degree mode. If you are doing trigonometric calculations, the angle unit is pertinent. If you are not doing trigonometry, it is irrelevant. You say you can cycle through DEG, RAD, GRAD. That is the way to set the angle unit.
However, there will always be an indicator on the screen (DEG, RAD, or GRAD).

My TI-30XIIS calculator displays an arrow,an DEG, and a K always on my screen whenever i try to do simple multiplication. it says Syntax error and will not compute an answer.............

I had this problem also and just fixed it. I hit 2nd key...don't hold it, (it should say 2nd in the lower left corner across from the DEG) then click the K button (also the divide key). The arrow and DEG will remain, but do not affect simple math calculations. Hope this helps!

TI-30Xa doesn't react to any button. It is on and reading 0

hi..
First, you want to make sure the calculator is in degree mode. Hit the "DRG" button until you see "DEG" in the display.

Then do the following keystrokes:

8 x 28 [sin] = ÷ 21 [sin] =

That should get you 10.48021316 in the display.
Get a new instruction booklet by download from TI website.
Hope this helps. Thankyou
